Really Handy Tip: Changing the Audience view in Mailchimp
Published 12 August 2026
Did you know you can change the order that the columns appear in your Mailchimp Audience view?
And also whether to show or hide certain columns?
Your audience data feels way more organised if your data columns follow an order that’s both logical and by priority.
Also there’s a fair chance you’ve got other data fields and columns that are useful, but that you don’t really need to actually see in this view, like mailing address.
So here’s how to change the order of the Audience columns:
- Go into Audience view in Mailchimp
- Just above the “spreadsheet” showing all your contacts, you’ll see a little cog and the word Columns on the top right.
- Click on that and you’ll see all the columns available (each of which corresponds with a data field).
- Tick or untick the fields to show or hide them from this view.
- Click and hold on the little cluster of 6 dots to the right of each field so that you can drag then into the order you want.
- Scroll to the bottom of this pop-up box and save.
And that’s that!
Helpful? I hope so.
